The Broncos had the ball at midfield with 1:24 left in the game. Hackett ran down the clock to 20 seconds left before he called his first timeout and they gained 4 yards.
Russ couldn’t get 15 to get in FG range with plenty of time and Hackett couldn’t manage the clock at all with all 3 timeouts.
Hell, know a couple Broncos fans outside of here, and one absolutely despises Russ and thinks Hackett is a, well, hack. Most of them probably have enough sense to know this was a possibility. [Reply]
