More details on Joe Thuney's 5-year, $80M deal with the Chiefs: Signing bonus: $17M Base salaries: $990K, $13.9M, $15M, $15.5M, $15.5M Workout bonuses totaling $2.11M
That structure keeps Thuney's 2021 cap number at just $4.5M.

Both styles have worked to a legendary degree.
The only way to beat Mahomes is to have both defensive ends win at the same time.

We're not. I merely asked if anybody had heard anything. Everybody so far has said "no" so there's really not any discussion of it, as evidenced by the last dozen posts or so talking about his contributions to the team, not about retirement. [Reply]
Ranked as the 2nd best IOL in football on ESPN's rankings from league personnel. The guy is Mitchell Schwartz, except he plays G. He's worth every penny. He's an iron man who is the same guy every game. An outstanding technical savant. [Reply]

He probably makes the all time Chiefs roster.
I’d have the OL as:
Roaf Thuney Humphrey Shields Schwartz
That would be a badass OL. Probably recency bias, but these are the best years in Chiefs history so it’s not too ridiculous. Obviously you can’t argue Roaf and Shields either. [Reply]

About the only time he's even discussed is when people talk about moving him to LT.
Freaking love dudes like that.
Great job by both of them, - Joe Thuney and Brett Veach.
I was just thinking that, nobody talks much about Thuney. We sure talked a lot about previous LG's that we had lol. You definitely notice a Cam Irving ****ing up more than you notice a Joe Thuney doing his damn job very well [Reply]
