He’s probably one of the best gadget players in the NFL.
We've began using him as just a speedster you flare out to the flat. Throw when almost wide open, and see how many yards he can run straight due to his speed. There is a role for that when you have Kelce and Hill blanketed, but he's never going to be the player we all hoped he would be. [Reply]
He’s really only good at one thing- those shovel-pass/end-around type plays
It’s too bad he hasn’t developed his route running, catching etc because he’s clearly a great athlete and is very dangerous with the ball in his hands [Reply]
He just doesn’t end up where he’s supposed to end up when he runs routes 8 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. Anything past that and it’s like he forgets where he’s supposed to be. He doesn’t play well off script either. He is fast though! I don’t think he’d do any better with any other quarterback or in another system. This is the best version of him unfortunately. [Reply]
To be honest it truly seems like Hardman doesn't take his craft seriously making rookie mistakes, thus pissing Mahomes off and only trusts' Tyreek and Travis to make the catch [Reply]
Let Hardman run more deep routes as a decoy. (Rather than Hill.) He can pull one or more safeties deep. Open things up for the others. Anything to get Hill/Kelce less attention from the opposing defense. Go route. Post. Skinny post. Rinse. Repeat. Open up the underneath for those that know where & when to be in their routes. [Reply]
