Set pictures today all but confirmed that Spain/the southern plot leaks were all but true.
His leaks about Winterfell were a lot more vague/and are unconfirmed, but at this point I see no reason to doubt any of it.
Spoiler!
To be honest, the only parts of the leaks that bother me are in EP7. For one, having Littlefinger settle himself in Winterfell only to get his head lopped off by Bran-Sansa and Arya. Yeah, yeah, they're avenging their pops and all three "know the game" now. But I have no idea why Littlefinger would waste his time in that situation. Why not take advantage of the chaos and march on KL? Why not use chaos as a ladder in any way shape or form? Why devote time to try to manipulate a teenage girl to turn on her sister? Yuck.
The other part is the dragonpit. Tyrion knows who Cersei is. I get that they will have just lost a dragon to the White Walkers and the apocalypse is on the way - but Tyrion should know that the apocalypse would be no reason for the Mad Queen to be willing to ally with him or Dany. They better sell it in the show, but for now, I have my doubts. If
I had to guess, it's going to be similar to Shireen's death where I have a suspicion that GRRM will sell it better. I could see Tyrion making this move if the wall had already fallen, but instead, we're going to see Jon and the Suicide Squad go on a quest! to retrieve a walker behind the wall. I would be more pissed about this if I didn't think it was going to be ****ing awesome to watch on screen. I also see the Dragon falling to the walkers going down differently in the books. It all feels like both D&D are going for plot expediency here - though it's also fully possible GRRM gave them about a sentence to work with for each of these points. They more or less revealed that he still hasn't worked out a way to get Arya back to Westeros in the books, and it showed in the adaptation.

So what happens to the Knights of the Vale? Robyn is young as shit and still inexperienced. Do they just march back and hold up in their castle again?
The more I leaks read about next season the more convinced I am that season six marked the complete departure of the tv series from the novels. [Reply]

The show has now surpassed the novels. George R.R. Martin has yet to publish next set of books but he has informed the TV show producers and directors how he plans on ending the series. [Reply]

Yeah, I'm well aware of that. My point, which I've stated before, is that I don't think the show is actually spoiling much of anything at this point. If there's any connection at all, I think it'll be primarily broad strokes (like perhaps the origin of Hodor's name), maybe some overall themes, but that the TV series has gone off completely on its own now.
I think we're going to see more and more things that have never happened/will never happen in the books, kind of like Jamie and Bronn traveling together, or most of Brienne's arc, etc.

"It's been agreed that McGregor will appear in one of the remaining two seasons of Game of Thrones," a source told Belfast Live. "He was headhunted as it were by HBO, as one of the Game of Thrones directors is a huge UFC fan. They believed that he would be a perfect fit for the show."
