Nzoner's Game Room>Chiefs Trade for OT Orlando Brown
Dante84 01:00 PM 04-23-2021
developing.

The #Ravens are trading LT Orlando Brown to the #Chiefs, per me and @MikeGarafolo. A new blindside protector for Patrick Mahomes.

Kansas City is trading its first-round pick Thursday night, along with three other picks in the 2021 and 2022 drafts, to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for Pro Bowl OT Orlando Brown and one pick in the 2021 draft and another in 2022, per sources.

Full details: #Chiefs get:
Orland Brown, 2021 2nd and a 2022 6th rounder
Ravens get: 2021 1st, 3rd, 4th and 20221 5th

Ok, the Ravens were "forced" to trade Brown. And? It doesn't mean they didn't get creamed on the value of the trade. Why should we care what Baltimore felt it had to do?

Look, if you believe the equivalent of the 45th pick for a 24-year old pro bowl left tackle isn't objectively one-side, we don't have much to discuss.

Yes they gained just a one round upgrade this year. It's pretty incredible that's all it was.

They apparently want to sign Fisher on the cheap cause of his injury.

Awesome. Now Mahomes won't have to scramble for nearly 500 yards in SB LVI.

Brett Veach is a goddman wizard.

The OL looked like such a question mark and like something we might harangue for 20 years after the SB. Now?

Now, the Chiefs have a top 10 OL and possibly the best left side of the line in the NFL.
I wish the season were starting tomorrow, I'm so excited

He could have absolutely out-worked the Chiefs for Brown. Instead, he's going to keep his picks, try to draft "value," and rely on moving Braden Smith to LT.

Good luck!
Ballard is the dude who is going to go 11-5 every year. He only makes moves in his terms, he's the guy at the whore house with 10k that gets nothing but his dick in his hand.

The more I think about this, the more I love it

A young pro bowler for relative peanuts, but it also maybe signals a slight philosophical switch for us with Reid getting back to bigger, nastier guys instead of all these light in the bucket types he's favored during his tenure here

The draft is now truly wide open... edge, receiver, corner, whatever the hell he wants

Apparently you've missed much of the conversation that's occurred the past 2 or 3 days prior to the trade.

I don't think Dane is saying the Chiefs didn't get a great deal here.

There were people here that said the Ravens would flat out refuse to deal with the Chiefs. Some of us always thought it was possible because the Ravens didn't have a whole lot of leverage other than keeping him, letting him tear up the locker room for a year, and then leave netting them nothing.

I've been trying for a couple of weeks to tell people that this was a legitimately good option for the Chiefs, even if it wasn't my first choice.

This is a great trade. What a time to be a fan!

3 tackles isn't enough, it wasn't last year. Draft another one.
