So there's an article on NFL network saying that Orlando Brown is expected to sign for 6 years $145 mil.
That comes to $24.16 mil/yr and makes him the highest paid offensive lineman in football. It also would give him the 19th highest salary per year in the NFL
How would you feel if that is the contract he ended up signing?
I'm fine with it. He is a top 5 LT and he's only 26 next season. A young great LT is a guy you can't let leave. [Reply]

So either KC has to dramatically over pay for what Brown is worth in KC's offense, Brown takes a below market deal, or KC is in the market for a new LT.
That’s the perfect analysis of the situation, and Brown’s value here is 1/10 what it would be on a lower caliber team with a power offense game plan.

And obviously you don’t watch him play much. [Reply]

All you had to do was watch and trust your own eyes.:-) [Reply]

Mahomes doesn't get sacked because of Mahomes, it's not because of the Tackles. They suck. [Reply]
Thanks for the 3 to 5 solid blocks on running plays over the years, Orlando. Praise the heavens Mahomes’ ankle is apparently made of titanium.
Good luck with your new team!
He doesn't suck. He is not a fit for this team though. That play right there highlights his value to a run based team. Pittsburgh, Chicago, Indy and Titans all would be well served to add him as a LT.
Hopefully we can move him this off-season to 1 of them or maybe even the Cheatriots. I think his value as a run blocker should get us a 2nd, if not a 1st....especially if we can win a chip this year.
Chicago in particular makes alot of sense with Poles previously being here and having history with Reid and Veach. They would obviously need to trade down and acquire more picks for that to happen. [Reply]

And in the last 5 games, which baller edge rusher did OBJ shut down? Oh, none cuz they were all terrible or picking on Wylie. Stats without context are meaningless. [Reply]
I find it really hard to blame OBJ for Mahomes injury when
1 - OBJ pushed the pass rushers out and around Mahomes.
2 - Mahomes took 5 steps back in shot gun and was 10 yards from the LOS at one point.
3 - Mahomes had 4 seconds to get rid of the ball.
4 - Thuney was pushed 5-6 yards back and into the pocket. Hell you can see Mahomes try to go left but runs into Thuney and even kinda trips because he stepped on Thuney's heel.
I know you all wanna find a reason to shit on him, but this is maybe 5-10% on OBJ. [Reply]
