Why are normally intelligent people so dumb?

So one of my employees had a fever. He took some Tylenol/Advil and it went away but then it came back. So he decided to get a covid test. Not before he came into the office though.:-) And then neither my service manager or my office manager called and told me. Between covid and moving I haven't been in the office regular. Well today I was bumming out about not being in the office this week so I went to the office. Normally when I get to the office I just go to the service office and sit and talk with my service manager. So as I'm sitting there today he tells me about the employee taking a covid test. He's been working with this guy constantly but instead of thinking that maybe he should quarantine he's at work in the office.:-) Well the employee came back with a positive test so now my service manager and my office manager both have been exposed. And while I never got within 6' of them I've been exposed possibly.:-) Got damned dumb asses.

New SARS-CoV-2 study published in Nature shows cross-reactive T cell responses in 81% of unexposed individuals.

Dr Fauci denies this mounting evidence for cross-reactivity and calls it “cherry-picking data” though.https://t.co/pr1jqSSUOa

Ignore the possibly politically driven second sentence.

Novel (adjective):

: new and not resembling something formerly known or used

Even the "experts" were in a panic to get information about a million different things. Research takes time, confirmation of hypotheses takes even longer.

Denver built an emergency covid hospital in the downtown convention center.
It has never been used.
It is costing the city/tax payers $60,000 a day
around 14 mill to date.

Had I seen the china virus coming I would of gotten into the convention center biz

Looks like if you’re under 65 the ifr will end up being about 0.3.

Over that it substantially goes up. So if you’re over 65, be pretty cautious. Every one be careful and take your precautions.

They took my aunt and uncle to the hospital today and admitted them, they seem to be doing ok so far. Hopefully they pull thru ok.
