In the 10 draft cycles from 2013-22, 30 quarterbacks were drafted in the first round. Ten remain with the teams that drafted them. And if Justin Fields and Zach Wilson are moved in the coming weeks, that number will drop to eight.

Drafting at the bottom of each round every year is a bit more of a crapshoot than early- and plenty of top picks bust, too.

Overall, Veach has been just okay with early picks I think, but unbelievable in the later rounds.

But McDuffie, Karlaftis, Creed, Bolton, Rice are all pretty damned good.

Tyreek Hill trade made a lot of that possible:

With three selections obtained trading Hill, the Chiefs were able to trade up to get cornerback Trent McDuffie and nab wide receiver Skyy Moore in the second round.

McDuffie has become a staple in the starting lineup and a crucial cog in a 2023 Chiefs defense that's been excellent so far. Moore hasn't panned out greatly so far, though he did have a key punt return in last season's AFC Championship Game and a touchdown in the team's Super Bowl win.

Through repackaging the picks, the Chiefs have, in total, drafted McDuffie, Moore, offensive lineman Darian Kinnard, wide receiver Rashee Rice, defensive tackle Keondre Coburn and a fifth-round pick in 2025.

Perhaps just as important is the Chiefs were able to move along from Hill's contract demands, which concluded with him signing a monster four-year, $120 million deal.

Nice list. Now, take out the defensive players, because we were really talking about offensive players, or so I thought. And we all know it's a lot easier to get going early on defense than it is offense. Especially in Andy's system.

List looks a little different in that light.

You should fit in great with the other Bingo hall characters.

Seeing as you are taking advice from a senior citizen sitting in a Bingo hall I highly doubt that.

That is not a great indicator for being a man of any purpose or strength.

Welp, if NYJ can fix their OL enough to give AR time in the pocket, they'll be a factor next season. But don't they have to do more than just sign a LT?

So did Donovan Smith but we paid him anyway.

Day 1 starters at OT don't make it out of the 1st round. That doesn't mean that you can't ever find any outside of the 1st, but to expect it is silly.

Like DJ said, Kyran Amegadije is one the OTs you'd likely be drafting at 64, and in no way should anybody expect him to be a day 1 starter.
