About to hit the 5000 post mark on the old thread, the first season 7 trailer today seems like the right time to start the final Game of Thones thread.
I'm going back to the original rules pre-2015. I don't think we need supervision or bannings. Just don't be a dick. Post anything you find online that hasn't aired yet inside of spoiler tags. That's pretty much it. I think we can all handle that...

Maybe they'll get 10% of their normal viewership to watch it. [Reply]

Yeah. Just heard it tonight. Not sure I’ll watch it. I don’t normally get into behind the scenes stuff [Reply]
The two weakest episodes of the series for me are Eastwatch and The Last of the Starks, simply because of the breakneck pacing going against the established norms of the show and as a consequence of the pacing, both episodes needed to have incredible character-breaking stupidity in order to get the plot from points A-B. Honestly, splitting both of those episodes into even just 2 separate episodes could have solved so many problems.
The frustrating thing is that while shitting on Benioff is now in vogue, he's actually a much better writer than this. City of Thieves was a fantastic novel and shows that he is very much capable of deep and nuanced character arcs.
I still don't know what Weiss brings to the table, other than the fact that he's "along for the ride" [Reply]

This show has become an absolute train wreck and I can't turn away.
