I'm not sure we need a true #1 either.
...and was Hill really a "true #1"? I think his size limited him in many crucial downs and he could disappear for stretches. I think a guy like Olave, who ran a surprisingly fast 40 could be a great #1/replacement due to his excellent route running. Art Monk ran a 4.5, Jerry Rice ran a 4.71, Larry Fitzgerald a 4.63...all were famously dedicated and learned were among the best route runners. None had Hill speed, but all could do many things Hill couldn't that made them as effective or more. [Reply]

@ 6-1" and only 187 lbs i have serious concerns about Olave's ability to beat press coverage and not get re-directed in his routes. [Reply]

Like it or not the edge rushers are going to be flying off the board simply bc of their value which will push the WR’s down the board.
Jermaine Johnson is being mocked as a top 10 pick, Karlaftis is going in the teens and Mafe is likely late teens.
I don’t care which one it is. If a true talent falls past 20 you use a 3rd and 4th to move up. If that’s Karlaftis? Cool. If that’s Wyatt? Sweet. If that’s Williams or Olave? Absolutely [Reply]

Nope. I'm not wasting picks trading up for a WR coming off an ACL tear that weighs 180 lbs.
Trade up for a DE? Sure. I'm okay with that as long as Veach doesn't include the farm to get him. [Reply]

If one you draft develops into that, great.
That's what Jacksonville Jaguars are thinking too. [Reply]

I know this will be an unpopular opinion but what are the chances the rumors about Tyreek's 4-year, $85M extension (the JudgeReid tweet) were actually TRUE?
The timeline and circumstances fit in hindsight. He agreed to parameters with the Chiefs and then Adams' contract hit. [Reply]

When did 6'1" and 187 lbs in college become worrisome? Diggs, Chase, Cooper, Jefferson, Hopkins...all 6'1", mostly around 190-210. Olave's 21 yrs old, there is room for 10 more lbs of muscle in the next year. [Reply]
