In a departure from expectations this afternoon, Chiefs CB L’Jarius Sneed was on the field for some stretching and conditioning that would put him in the next stage of the concussion protocol, a very good sign for him.
Andy Reid is optimistic JuJu Smith-Schuster, who sustained a left knee injury Sunday, will be able to participate in the team's practices next week in Arizona.
"He's in the good place," Reid said. "The main thing is letting that thing calm down. We'll just see where it goes."
Reid was particularly optimistic that among the injured players Toney and JuJu would be able to play in the Super Bowl. On JuJu, Reid said, "He's in a good place."
Andy Reid said L’Jarius Snead, who spends most of his time covering teams #1 QB is in the concussion protocol. His status for the Super Bowl will be one to watch vs the #eagles
Chiefs LB Willie Gay is optimistic about playing in the Super Bowl despite hurting his shoulder Sunday vs. Cincinnati, per source. Early tests were encouraging.
.@adamteicher to @J810Anderson on how the #Chiefs feel about the chances of their injured players returning for the Super Bowl: "The Chiefs feel like everybody's got a chance, all those guys." Adds that it's doubtful that all of them would make it, but all should have a shot.
The best part of that Tweet is the continued commenting from Bengals fan that Mahomes was never injured in the first place.

The bye-week is such a godsend for the Chiefs. Healing players, Andy Reid bye-week magic, etc.
I really think things are setting up for a Chiefs win on Sunday. And I'll be in the minority and say that I think they will win by more than one score. *shrug* [Reply]

But it's the Super Bowl. As long as they can be productive and not risk long-term injury, it's do or die time.
There was a comment from Peter Schrager after the Championship game that any of the injured Chiefs have to be motivated to play after Mahomes playing thru that game with injury. They sit out they're gonna really feel worthless.
Wish I had the exact comment but that's the jest. [Reply]

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's also interesting that they think the NFL is out to get us when the last game had anything but. Doesn't make sense [Reply]

Man, the Bengal folks have really gone off the cliff. Pathetic stuff IMHO. [Reply]

Exactly. People aren't insane. It's just that people who are attention-seeking don't tend to be the calm, rational types. Add to that algorithms that pretty much promote controversy, and you end up with a ton of nonsense. [Reply]
