dirk digler 04:02 PM 10-18-2022
Can't believe the regular season starts tonight. Just seemed like the Finals ended a couple weeks ago.

Philly vs Celtics: 6:30PM CST TNT

GSW vs Lakers: 9:00PM CST TNT

The greatest play in NBA Finals history. MJ would never.

Alex Smith was a league average QB and was a solid stopgap for the Chiefs while we waited to get a franchise guy. No idea what he has to do with the greatest basketball player of all time.

So in the final 3 minutes of game 7 he was 0-1 from the field and 1/2 free throws. Kyrie outscored him.

Is this the epic 'taking over a game' that I've been waiting for?

Remember when Lebron basically demanded that the NBA suspend Draymond after he tried to step over him and bait him into a reaction?

Is he supposed to lie? His numbers are shattering every record in the books. The guy is averaging 30 point triple doubles in year 20. What he's doing is completely unprecedented.

Except we all know that he is that kind of asshole and that he was lying.

Draymond kicking multiple people in the nuts in a single postseason is what did him in, not LeBron.

I love how KCC says that titles are a team accomplishment.

BUT

Lebron is the GOAT because he took down the 2016 Warriors ALL BY HIMSELF.

Let's just ignore that Kyrie was also fantastic in that series. Kyrie put up legitimate finals MVP type of numbers too, just less that Lebron.

They were both great in that series, and yea, when it came down to it, Kyrie hit the big shot.

He had the block that won the game and facilitated the ball for the others in that stretch. He's always been more of a passer than a scorer, which makes it all the more funny and emblematic of his GOAT status that he's the all-time leading scorer.

Deflection.

Did Lebron not instigate it then cry like a bitch to the media to force the NBA's hand?

Like I said

So where were the assists in the closing minutes in Game 7?

MJ never had to take down a team as good as those Warriors. LeBron did it with three of the greatest games ever played in a row. His game 5 and 6 were absolutely absurd and he showed up when it counted in game 7 with the greatest play in NBA Finals history.

As you are aware, Kyrie scored the only basket in the last 5 minutes of that game on either team. Just like earlier this week, LeBron can't help the fact that nobody was hitting shots on his passes.

During that time, LeBron was playing his regular brand of elite defense including his ridiculous, game saving block on Iggy. He then finished the game with a FT to seal it.

GOAT stuff.

Because he WAS the Warriors.

That same Warriors team should've lost to OKC the round before. They went all in to try to top the GOAT with the greatest season ever, and they clearly ran out of gas at the end and Lebron AND Kyrie were just too good.

It was his most valuable ring, but at best it cancels out 2011.
