Kinda nuts that Bill Self can just decide to roll out a defense (Harris and Kev going 1 on 1) that can just lock down the best offenses in the country if he feels like it.
I know the risk is that he runs down Harris and Kev in February, which has happened to KU teams before -- but the last three halves of basketball have looked like a vintage Self defense -- and you know he has to be happy to have that in his back pocket. [Reply]

Those two are like having a pair or lockdown corners who can just erase a teams best receivers. It’s really incredible how good the are. [Reply]
When is the last time Self won COY? He should run away with it this year considering all that the team lost in the offseason to graduation and the draft. In my biased opinion of course. [Reply]
On a side note: Probably Franschilla's least Anti-KU call of a game that I can remember. There were several situations where he seemed to overly try to be impartial. [Reply]

Since 2018, one criterion for determining selection to the NCAA Tournament has been performance against certain RPI quadrants. Typically, a quadrant 1 win is considered a "good win", while a quadrant 4 loss is considered a "bad loss". The quadrants are defined as follows:
Quadrant 1: Home games vs. RPI teams ranked in the top 30; neutral games vs. 1-50; away games vs. 1-75.
Quadrant 2: Home vs. 31-75 teams; neutral vs. 51-100; away vs. 76-135.
Quadrant 3: Home vs. 76-160 teams; neutral vs. 101-200; away vs. 136-240.
Quadrant 4: Home vs. 161-plus teams; neutral vs. 201-plus; away vs. 241-plus.[8]
The quadrant system is still in use under the new NET system, with RPI ranking replaced by NET ranking. [Reply]
And the Alabama cops/district attorney somehow came together and found a way not to charge Alabama's best player (and one of the best players in the country) for anything on this. Interesting. [Reply]

I'm guessing the case will "randomly" be reexamined now that this got out [Reply]

There's a potential national title at stake, so yes. He may be pressured into disciplining Miller now though (because apparently the cops/lawyers involved didn't think bringing a murder weapon to the scene of a crime on request from the murderer was worthy of any kind of charge). [Reply]
Wow that makes the alleged suppression of Morningstars DUI look pretty tame in comparison. I guess the psychos are going to have to find something else. [Reply]
