That sounds like a good ball...

Jfc, $2000 for a walk off home run ball from a random game in July. A HR that beat a shitty Royals team and a win that means very little. No auto or anything.

Seems like something that should be worth about $50 lol. Person who is selling it is on crack.

I just see it all the time.

And a lot of catchers don't keep their throwing hands behind their backs anymore so they take those foul tips on occasion that are just unnecessary.

It seems like a lot of the small technical nuances that I got taught as a 10 year old just don't get done anymore. Catchers rest on their heels all the time; they're not in an athletic position as they receive the pitch. A lot of them tend to jab at balls as they catch them.

It's just weird. Most other positions on the field I see a lot of the same stuff I was always taught; circling around balls, preparing for throws, setting your feet, wide glove/soft hands stuff. At C, for whatever reason, I don't feel like I see the focus on fundamentals.

Maybe it's just easier to notice since a lot of it is 'pre-snap' so to speak.

Insane how quickly Perez came back. Hopefully he's healed completely.

Heh...I played catcher, and you learn the throwing hand behind back pretty quick.

Of course, nowadays, catcher gear is much better, and they have "knee savers" etc......so it's not quite the same.

Funny story: In practice one time, during bunt practice (which for catchers is the equivalent of the oklahoma drill in FB)........anyways, a guy fouls off a bunt, and the damn ball hit my mask and stayed in it.

Ball was literally stuck between the two metal rods where your eye area is on the mask. I was moving my head up/down and left/right....ball stayed stuck.

Was hilarious. one in a million.

The original time frame was 8 weeks of healing. He was back playing on rehab assignment in less than 4 weeks.

4 weeks to heal, 2 weeks to rehab. Said if it was your kid - he would have been back riding his bike at 4 weeks.

Any chance that Taylor is out of the lineup tonight because they are nearing a trade fit him? I’ll take some additional prospect lottery tickets.
