2023 – A new beginning for the Royals. Matt Quatraro era begins. A year to see which of our young players will make up the core going forward. Can Bobby Witt Jr become a superstar SS or will go to the hot corner? Will Brady Singer take the next step forward? Will Salvy be Salvy? Will Big Vin or Pratto take first base? Will they find a position for MJ? Who else emerges from the youth movement? Not to mention the development of the new downtown stadium.

I watched as much of the news conference as I could on phone. Is that Sherman's son? He seems a little shyster the Populus team seemed suspect of the guy and very guarded in their comments. Sherman seemed to throw side eyes and occasional skunk eyes when the Architects spoke and even his own community spokesperson when she commented.
If I missed what id like to know is the field dimensions they are shooting for. They seemed very vague on parking for either site and what traffic flow improvements to the various highway interchanges would need to be done for either site.
This dude has had a long road back. Hope he makes it.
According to Double-A Northwest Arkansas transactions, LHP Jake Brentz’s rehab has been transferred to Double-A. One step closer to returning from Tommy John surgery that he had last year.
Wow. They're commiting to a pretty major overhaul if they do the North location. Makes a bit more sense now though, that area is a barren dump as it currently stands. [Reply]

They clarified that the renderings were rough outlines, and additions could be added.
But the Crown Board is pretty tall and could detract from the view of Sherman's Retail building. Not any clearer on the downtown footprint it faces away from the city skyline and right at his retail. I found it funny that it's all about the sun in players' eyes. I guess noon games with the sun overhead no one will look up into it on a pop fly. [Reply]

Every MLB park faces northeast, southeast, or east. [Reply]

Maybe, I'm fine if they move but they really need to figure this out. It doesn't mean they have to put in an exact replice of Crown Vision but if they just build a replica of Target Field or something like this they've failed. They really have. No excuses. The K is one of the most unique stadiums in sports and they need to be innovative with this. I realize this isn't the final form but if they're trying to drum up support this isn't the way. [Reply]

Same question I was going to ask. It seems like they want to copy a few aspects from the current stadium except one of the most iconic and coolest parts of it. [Reply]
