Nzoner's Game Room>Frank Clark fucking sucks
RealSNR 02:33 PM 09-15-2019
Guy has done NOTHING in two games. Barely any pressures to speak of against trash OTs.

Yeah, I'm in bitchy gameday mode. Don't care. I'm tired of paying out the ass for defensive players who don't make plays.

At least Justin Houston could dominate against bad teams after we paid him.

Clark didn't make any splash plays yesterday, but I'm hoping his day was littered with little big plays like that that don't show up on the stat sheet. We did a really great job of bottling up Chubb and keeping Baker uncomfortable in the 1st half so I wouldn't doubt he did some dirty work.

Regardless, we need more pressures and sacks next week and hopefully in the Super Bowl.
Other than primarily holding edge containment, he did little else that I saw. No impact plays in any facet.

We did hold them to 17.

I want to see more this week but can’t complain about a win.

Someone in another thread said he was responsible for one of the incomplete screens to Chubb later in the game.

I haven’t confirmed but that’s the sort of thing that won’t show up in the stat sheet but certainly goes a long way toward winning such a tight ball game.

Their 3rd string left tackle played most of the game. Didn't notice how much they used the back to check Frank.

It was their final drive Clark dropped back in coverage and was literally all over Chubb

Concerning he couldn't make much of a difference rushing the passer against a 3rd string LT.

Which is actually a pretty big deal when you’re playing a run heavy team with Baker Mayfield who loves to roll out

Rushing the passer against Cleveland isn't the big issue. Shutting down Chubb and Hunt was the big deal and in the 1st half they totaled 20 yards. Doing the dirty work and stopping their rushing game was more important than the pass rush yesterday. Next weekend I don't see Buffalo as near of a rushing threat as the Browns were so getting after Allen will be a bit more important.

Frank Clark is taking on a Sammy Watkins vibe.

Remember when the Chiefs were one of the top in Sacks in the league lead by Dee Ford, but we couldn't stop anyone, especially the run...

Nearly every passing snap. They tried HB screens in Clark's direction just 2-3 times, which he defended perfectly, and then they gave up on that as well. He also pretty much took away Baker's roll out to the left, which has been his bread-and-butter for the season since about week 10.
