All of Liddy's last calls before getting killed were to Quinn...

I'm not sure how he got off the hook so easily just because the blood on his shoes wasn't a match...makes no sense to me.

Now if they decided there wasn't enough evidence I guess that's one thing...but again...too many loopholes in this damn season.
If they can't pinpoint him there at TOD, and if the blood on the shoe doesn't match, the only thing they know is that he's been in contact with him. It makes him a person of interest, but without a murder weapon or a motive (and with Deb going on record as seeing Quinn "prep" him for his Union meeting) there's nothing to suggest that they didn't have an amicable relationship.

Everything else would be circumstantial.

They need to have Dexter get Fred Phelps on his table. That would be a sweet episode.

and also...

how did Deb "solve" the barrel girls case?

she let the vigilantes go...no one ever found a body (other than Dan the Dentist)...

the only thing she solved was where the rapes occurred...she didn't solve anything else...

so what was up with the cheers to Deb for solving the case at the end of the episode as well?

I didn't get that either.

there will NEVER be another trinity season.

write it down in the history books.

try all you want, seriously doubt it can be duplicated.

it's hard to duplicate that sort of brilliance.

It wasn't a bad start. The snakes thing was pretty creepy. It almost seems that religion will play a huge part in the theme of this season. Angel telling Dexter about why he believes in God was hilarious!

I like the fact that they're setting up the story to get back near the original setup. It's somewhat like a clean slate.

Wow- it was nice to see Tom Hanks again. He's looking good for his age... what? Oh... that man cloned his son. LOL!

I was very impressed with the first episode. Last season was kinda meh and definitely had it's holes, but was still very good just not up to their usual level. It looks like this season has potential to be excellent. Can't wait for the next episode, sucks to have to wait a week.

This show needed a good villain and foil for Dexter again. Last year didn't cut it in that regard, but they might have one this season in Hanks' son.
