Nzoner's Game Room>Orlando Brown Projected Contract 6 year $145 mil
dlphg9 08:17 PM 03-28-2022
So there's an article on NFL network saying that Orlando Brown is expected to sign for 6 years $145 mil.

That comes to $24.16 mil/yr and makes him the highest paid offensive lineman in football. It also would give him the 19th highest salary per year in the NFL

How would you feel if that is the contract he ended up signing?

I'm fine with it. He is a top 5 LT and he's only 26 next season. A young great LT is a guy you can't let leave.

So does the organization ((Reid,Veach, Hunt) have the stones to tell him you are moving to RT for the remainder of the season then try Thuney or someone else at LT? What are realistic options besides 3 TE sets with chip help every play? What are the options going forward? With CEH it took him going to IR to get Pacheco primary carries didn’t it?

I shouldn't have watched those, they just made me mad. And sad. What a hunk of dogshit he truly was on Sunday.

That's because he is a RT

Talk me into it. how would moving him to the other side be better than where he is? Because he's not even getting his hands on JAGs on the left. is he quicker when he plays on the right?

I'm serious at this point. Not trying to be funny at all.

He was good at RT in Baltimore. He only played LT due to injury. He believes he is a LT because his dad wanted him to be a LT.

Personally, I don't want him on the team next year at all.

This is my question, he gets beat so badly I don't even think moving him to RT will work. Time to punt on him.

Brown will be fine at LT if he gets a double foot transplant in the offseason.

Otherwise, GTFO

Hopefully we're not back to arguing about whether it makes sense to pay him what he wants or not after he strings a couple decent games together against the Seahawks and Texans. A performance that bad that late into the season in such a pivotal game should all but kill that chatter.

Won't matter what he does in the last few games of the reg season. If he plays like he did yesterday in the playoffs, and i don't see how he won't, he should be donezo.

This bundle of sticks spent the entire offseason playing tennis talking about improving his footwork

He will never have enough foot speed. Honestly, him and Thuney trading positions would be the best possible thing but it will never, ever happen.

I'm not even going to explain how absurd (in a bad way) his combine measurable of a 5.38 short shuttle is. His 7.87 3-cone isn't great for a LT. Donovan Smith, DJ Humphries, Ronnie Stanley at LT and a couple RTs are about the only ones that reach his level of suck in the 3-cone and nobody I know of approaches his short shuttle. None are really elite pass blockers.

It's whatever. I'm so tired of even discussing how bad OBj is. He needs to go, I just hope Veach agrees.

I'd rather try Geron Christian. His pass blocking grades were pretty good, as I remember. Id rather not disrupt Thuney-Creed-Smith.

I'd rather try Christian-Thuney-Creed-Smith-Winnebago/Niang for a few games, personally.

I seriously doubt it looks worse.

Agreed. Nothing to lose at this point.
