Every year after the Spurs are eliminated I nervously wait to see if Coach Popovich is retiring. That roster is getting old & Popovich is 60+, I don't see him staying through a major rebuilding effort the team is going to have to undergo in a couple of years.

1) The stage in life Self's kids are at - Self's daughter was a HS senior in the fall of 2008 and his son will enter college the fall. (How mahy dads want their sons to go their alma mater, especially if it was where you met your wife?)

2) Bill Self may be a realist - this conference re-alignment is not done by a long-shot and at the end of the day do you really expect KU to still be in the BCS.

A lot of dumb KU takes on Twitter today. I’m seeing several posts about KU still needing this or that.

Even the 2015 UK team only played 7-8 guys by the end of the year.

Right now, our 10 is:

PG: Harris, Morris, Elmarko
SG: Timberlake, Chris Johnson
SF: McCullar, Marcus Adams
PF: KJ Adams
C: Dickson, Braun

I’d assume, Johnson and Braun see very limited time by the end of the season. The rest is a damn loaded 8 man rotation.

Except, I don't think she will be. Her takes are tremendously stupid, often with very little reasoning behind them.

Oh, that's about as loosely as I could call someone "right".... tell us every year Self has coached his last game at KU and one day it will be true.

I would guess she's actually a troll from a different team, but I think most would have said fuck it, he ain't ever leaving by now. :-)

That KU team is the best it has been since 2020 and might even be better.

Dotson/Doke vs Harris/Dickinson might be an interesting debate by the end of the year

People on the Slant seem to think there's still a chance Udeh comes back. Anyone else hear that?

"Insiders" are saying there's very little chance of that, but Grant Nelson talk is heating up. And that would be insane.

His skillset is literally everything we don't have right now. This is the final piece.

edit: but also I had heard this guy was a nope the second Dickinson signed. He's no 4, he'd be a backup 5

I’d be surprised if we added anyone else at this point. We’re probably done, unless we grab a developmental piece to take a chance on at the bottom of the roster.
