We need two above average tackles. We don't need "studs" although that would be nice. It remains to be seen if they can afford it, however.
I'd be perfectly happy with one stud like Williams and someone like Niang at RT. You have to compromise a bit sometimes. [Reply]

Somebody could fall and be by far the best value there.
By spending both big free agent money AND picks on a player, you're limiting your flexibility both in the rest of free agency and the rest of the draft.
If they're going to do that, it better be really worth it. I just don't think Armstead is worth it. Not at his age and potential price tag.
Like I said, if he was 28 or was going to save us 5-6M over Williams, then sure, do it. But he's not and he won't, so I'd pass.
Sure, someone could. But it's not likely. Look at the history of LT's. They go early.
After looking around, I'd probably sign Williams and be done with it. I might use that pick to go looking for a pass rusher [Reply]

This Fish was 30 only to sign a guy that's 33. This seems very un-Veach like. I feel the move will come fast and be someone we least expect to anchor the left edge for years to come. [Reply]
