Very nice winning goal. Spain definitely deserved that win. The Japan Sweden match should be a really good one tonight too, but I don’t think I’ll be able to stay awake for that one. [Reply]

Didn't see sweden pulling that off. They are sneaky good. [Reply]

Felt bad for BeerStein (or whatever her name really is) who missed twice right before the winner.
Yeah. She had some tough misses. She missed a wide open cross for a goal too. She’s the type of player that can get forward into space, but lacks that finishing touch. That speed she has is something else, though. If she had a finishing touch she would probably be the best player in the world. [Reply]
Sweden is looking good so far and earned the lead. If this result holds we’ll officially have a first time champion this year. There have definitely been some fun matches and the semifinals and finals could be some very good matchups. I’ll be hoping Australia can win one for the home fans, but that France matchup is going to be so tough tomorrow. [Reply]

I have to agree, but Swedish wife is in a pissy mood today after the loss. She was sure her team was the cinderella team this year. I watched the first half live...Spain was just a tad sharper with the ball and seemed a step ahead of Sweden all half. [Reply]
I had high hopes for the MLS v Liga MX Leagues Cup finally seeing a competition that was not as limited as CONCACAF is to see some of these teams match up and take it seriously. A lot of people were skeptical about it which I totally understand but this entire tournament has been extremely entertaining.
Messi coming in and doing his thing...I was hoping Philly would figure something out tonight but it was not meant to be. Currently watching Nashville and Monterrey in the other semi final. No idea how LAFC let them score 3 in the second half to come back but the Mexicans almost got shut out of the final 4. [Reply]
