2023 – A new beginning for the Royals. Matt Quatraro era begins. A year to see which of our young players will make up the core going forward. Can Bobby Witt Jr become a superstar SS or will go to the hot corner? Will Brady Singer take the next step forward? Will Salvy be Salvy? Will Big Vin or Pratto take first base? Will they find a position for MJ? Who else emerges from the youth movement? Not to mention the development of the new downtown stadium.

His swing kinda reminds me of Mike Trout. Hes very much like Mike Trout except for his ability to walk. Im sure someone knows what areas he barrels balls but he seems to be a good low ball hitter. [Reply]

The Royals pitching cupboard is bare as **** so I get it but this is the type of guy where any thing you get should be considered a bonus not expected.
Their pitching going into next year looks really really bad so hey I understand.
He's 25. He was the Rangers 1st round pick and there 4th ranked prospect in 2017 before he had to have TJ. He tore the fix in rehab, so had to have it repaired. It's now repaired and he has as much a chance of tearing it as anyone that's come back from TJ.
We traded a half season rental relief pitcher for him and a lottery ticket. What's the risk?
This is something id definitely say oh yeah this guy is fine. [Reply]
Per my friends @Sportradar, the #Royals tonight became the first team ever (home or away) to record a 3-HR, 6-SB game in the 112-year history of Fenway Park.
Bobby Witt gonna really push towards 50 SBs. Nice to see Massey and Waters stay on fire. Melendez with a damn good game too. BWJ with 2 SBs. Singer with a pretty good game too. Seems he's finally settled down from earlier this season where he sucked shit. [Reply]

We'll need to see the final pitch breakdown but Singer supposedly is getting a better handle on his changeup and it's making a difference it seems like. [Reply]

I hate seeing the Padres struggle. That's a team with a solid but unspectacular revenue stream. They've done a nice job drafting/developing young players that they've brought up within their system. They've been aggressive in supplementing that talent through the additions of both superstars and solid complementary talent.
On its face, SD is everything you want to see from a mid-market squad and NOTHING seems to ever work out for them. It's just disappointing and sends a message to the middle of the pack that you don't like to see strictly as a baseball fan.
I want to see teams who 'go for it' have success. I want to see ownership and executive teams that go out there and TRY to win actually win.
But man, seemingly everything the Padres touch turns to shit and there's no obvious reason for it. [Reply]

I agree with that as well. Also sucks for the Angels they got all in and they sucked it up. Hell I give them credit for going for it as well. [Reply]
