There have only been two postseason performances in NFL history where a QB passed for at least 325 yards, threw at least 3 TDs, had no INTs and rushed for 60 yards.
Josh Allen vs. the Chiefs, Jan. 23, 2022 Patrick Mahomes vs. the Bills, Jan. 23, 2022
Some (a lot, actually) of people are bitching about Buffalo kicking into the end zone. The thinking is that a squib kick would have taken seconds off the clock.
Butker was asked about it and he agreed with Buffalo. He said that KC's return team could have taken a squib kick 40+ yards down the field, and while that would have taken time off the clock, it would have put KC in position to only need 1 play, if any, to get into FG position. Buffalo's decision, then, was to put their defense on the field, a defense rated #1 in DVOA throughout the entire season, to stop KC rather than take a chance that KC's special teams would give them an excellent return.
While it did not work, if that was the thinking, then at least it's a reasonable decision. [Reply]

Yeah, I think the bigger problem was the Kelce play. They should have mugged him at the line of scrimmage instead of giving him a free release. [Reply]
The company needs to go bankrupt. Mahomes was better. He went against a better defense featuring 2 All-Pro safeties in deep coverage for 90% of the game, while Allen was throwing to wide open guys all over the place from blown coverage by the KC secondary after KC's best safety got hurt early in the game.
Also seemed to me like Buffalo had the better pass rush as well, but Mahomes kept getting out of it and making plays. Speaking of pass rush, how did PFF grade Allen for his fumble where he got extremely lucky the ball came right back to him? It was one of the few times the KC pass rush got to him, and he had poor awareness/ball security on that play. [Reply]
Hey Clay. Are you planning on putting up a video on YouTube of the entire game without commercials like you did the Superbowl? I know it's a lot of work for you, so if you're not, that's fine. I was just wondering. [Reply]
