Stan absolutely crushed Nadal before the back spasms set in (or whatever happened to him). He struggled with his nerves the rest of the way while Nadal struggled with his back/the crowd, but there's no way he doesn't deserve credit for this one. He was the better player today and throughout the tournament. Endurance, after all, is a huge part of grand slam tennis.

Doubt he cares too much. He beat Djokovic last week in a 5 set marathon on the guy's favorite court and then was on the way to beating perhaps the greatest player of all time tonight before it turned weird in the middle of the 2nd set.
