I don’t want dhop. He’s getting old and won’t sign cheap and even though he might have some of the best hands ever, he doesn’t get separation. Take a look at this. What wr has mahomes been successful with that doesn’t create separation?

I know Hopkins has been successful and separation isn’t his game but mahomes likes wrs that get open, or at least that’s been his history. I don’t know of a single pass catcher that doesn’t get open with mahomes. The closest would be juju?
Probably a bigger point is his likely contract. His estimated contract is $23M per year. So, he’s probably getting $60m over 3 years at least with $40M guaranteed? We can’t afford and even if we could figure it out. We should spend the money somewhere else.

I'm lukewarm on Hopkins but as always I will trust Andy and Vilmer with what they decide. I just hate the thought of possibly losing Sneed after this year if we sign DHop. [Reply]
