I was reading from others who have more free time than I do that this director (Mylod) has been involved in some of the worst moments of the show so far, in particular Barristan's death.

Luckily the director that is doing the next two episodes (Sapochnik) seems to be everyone's favorite (he directed Hardhome, among other well-received episodes).

It doesn't really matter if the Waif had trained in the dark, it wasn't recently if she did, and in the dark a knife loses to a sword pretty much every time.

I don't get why people go overboard with show negativity. Was the Arya stuff perfect? No. Was it the god awful abomination people are making it out to be? No. My biggest gripe is that they didn't make her a warg.

All that really matters in the end though is that Arya has gotten older, more athletic, more experienced, smarter, and more deadly, and when it came down to it, she could not give up her true self as Arya fucking Stark of Winterfell!

Jaime's arc is worse than Arya's IMO when compared to his book arc, but on the other hand if he is killed by LSH in the next book, that will piss me off too. Either way, the show is different and in some ways that is better (i.e. Hound vs. Brienne battle), and in some it is not.

Overall this season has been pretty darn good IMO. Not perfect, but better than last season. And I am very optimisitc for the next two episodes given the director is the one who did Hardhome.

Love these reviews, always good for some laughs, especially after a pretty lame episode. NSFW language.

So everyone else started the countdown clock on Tommen as soon as you saw him walking back down the aisle after his decree banning trial by combat, right?

They might as well have been chanting "dead man walking!" behind him.

I don't think the kid sees next season.

Oh, he's dead, Like DEAD dead. He doesn't even know how dead he is just yet. The question is - who is going to kill him? I'm thinking Margaery shanks him causing Cersei to throw House Lannister at House Tyrell.

So I'm expected to believe that this place trains assassins but doesn't train them for every situation?

I got this from a comment chain on Facebook. Take it for what it's worth.
This doesn't make sense for many reasons, but the main one is she was definitely wounded. She was still bleeding when she told what's his face to fuck off. (Probably worst scene of the season) The fact is Arya's story has been a huge letdown. Hopefully it will payoff when she hits Westeros.

Doesn't really matter, in the dark, the person with the sword will beat the person with the knife most of the time becaue of the better reach.

Anyone who has watched this show for even just 1 show knows he is a dead man/teen. He has to go anyway.

The Lannister/Brartheon era as king will be over. The battle is on for who comes next. No telling where is goes from here. Is it too obvious that the badass Grandma will throw everything at the Lannisters? Then the Faith? Make the grandaughter and widow of the King the new Queen?

Anyway, those are the first parts of the ending anyway. Still think its Danerys that sits on the iron throne at the end of season 8.

Still can't figure out how an entitled tween with fire-superiority has become the good guy.

Danerys sucks. The Targaryens have pretty much always sucked.

They're Joe from Idiocracy. He was plain as hell until he ended up in an era full of idiots. The Targaryens were pretty much slightly above average Valyrians and mediocre to poor dragon keepers. Then they ended up being the last people on earth with Dragons and are suddenly imbued with divine right?
