Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

None. Brady has been carried to SBs by defense over and over again. He's never had to do the heavy lifting like Mahomes, AR or Peyton Manning. [Reply]

He was throwing lasers from the pocket last night and look what happened
No one is against Mahomes playing from the pocket when the OL is winning as they did last night.
It’s trying to force him into being a pocket passer when our OL is porous that most disagree with. And that was the story of the Chargers and Colts games. [Reply]

The idea Mahomes needs to change anything is kind of silly. Refine stuff sure but you let Mahomes be Mahomes. I mean it’s kind of working for the kid. [Reply]

I disagree. We are watching him reinvent his game and it’s a marvel to watch. A lot of these athletic qbs just aren’t capable of doing what he does in the pocket. His pocket awareness this year is on a level we haven’t seen before. And he will get even better. Can I again mention that despite playing tough defenses all year he
At some point players hit this crossroads because Head coaches know their athleticism is sliding. Saw it with Big Ben. Seeing it big time with Russell Wilson. These guys aren’t having nearly the same successful transition to the pocket. Mahomes will now always have this in his back pocket.
The way mahomes has hesitated on some runs…. I’d bet reid is forcing mahomes to develop and not consider a bailout as an option. Stay in the pocket. Take lots of snaps under center. Come playoff time, if we need to open him up more, we can. But I suspect we’ll find that he’s become so good at this he won’t need to bail out as much as we think. [Reply]

Yeah but o.city is right that he more often than not drills it instead of airing it out. I felt the same about the Justin Watson deep ball vs Indy that got tipped away. What was really encouraging about this pass though was that he stepped into it. Another habit he has is throwing off his back feet on deep throws when he doesn’t need to. These are the types of good habits we will start to see more of as he keeps developing. [Reply]

I don't think it's all the OL though. When he's confident and calm like Sunday night, he's in a tier alone. [Reply]
