Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

He could have easily quoted “I wouldn’t go that far”.
It was clickbait
He also didn’t really say that he has to continually prove himself where others do not.
I think he was referencing the word” street-ball” when he was saying that we (Mahomes, kyler, Lamar) get it and others do not, meaning that people are more likely to call it street-ball when it’s a black quarterback. For example, it’s backyard football for Rodgers, but street-ball for him.
He’s basically saying that he’s going to go out every day and prove how good he is.
#Chiefs Patrick Mahomes says it’s “funny” he, Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray have to continually prove themselves pic.twitter.com/BG0VbBlJ0F
You really think that’s not dishonest? That’s not what he said at all? He went on to talk about how Tom Brady probably feels like he has more to prove.
He corrected himself immediately after. This all in reference to the criticism that Kyler is lazy, Mahomes is dumb, and Jackson is just an athlete which is what Mahomes referenced. BTW I really didn't have a problem with what the defensive coach said about LJ I thought it was pretty much accurate.
I’m not sure what’s politically correct here…. Maybe it’s weird or wrong but I don’t even think of mahomes as black…. He’s mixed. Is his daughter black? She looks white and is blond…. How much black do you have to have in you to be black? Or is it just about how you look? [Reply]

I’ve often wondered this myself. We need a new racial distinction because the mixed race has become so relevant in society.

I don’t think anyone would argue that his daughter is black?

Or maybe it just doesn't matter and we shouldn't give a shit. [Reply]
