No, but that’s the way they will have him bow out gracefully.
They won’t ever cut him.
The first injury of any kind will be followed up with a “maybe we should give this extra time to heal” and his career fades to black.
The whole organization respects Dan a lot more than the fans do because they see the work he’s had to put in to even be a respectable defender through most of his career here while making game changing plays in a lot of big games. He’s also been a great teammate his whole time here.
Every team needs a Dan Sorensen…those guys tend to motivate others in the weight room and help everyone in meetings and after practices…it’s just a shame he physically cant keep up anymore. [Reply]

It's embarrassing. Let go! He sucks. He's always sucked.
No matter how many times you say this, it’s still not true.

He sucks now. He hasn’t always sucked.
nah, he's pretty much always sucked. At his BEST he was JAG. But in reality, he's been a guy that blows several plays per game with bad angles and missed tackles for years now. He's just had a knack for making a big play at a big moment.
that doesn't erase the half dozen to dozen shitstreaks per game. [Reply]

This, I was happy as a Chiefs fan, and I don't wish him ill, that had to feel good for him...but it doesn't negate the objective stats that he has hit a steep decline...and he was always an overachiever at best.
The pressure they are starting to generate helps the secondary for sure, but as soon as they face a stout O-line, or an offense that adjusts to that pressure the DD targeting will continue and what evidence do we have that the pattern of burnt toast won't continue again?
We need to see more Watts in those third down situations...it doesn't have to be every time, but how will they know unless they try? Statistically it can't get worse. [Reply]

Literally NOBODY, not even Chief Fan, is dumb enough to think this makes Dan "good." [Reply]
