I’ve given up on my dream for Darnell Wright bc the Steelers were all over the guy. Just can’t see them passing on him.
This does seem like a trend. Rice, Johnston, Tillman. They also are looking at Hopkins.
They seem to want that bigger body WR
And the Steelers have not been secretive in the past about their first round targets so you can almost bank on it. [Reply]

And I don't think they really have to be secretive with that pick. At 17, that's probably the earliest you will see a RT like Wright go. I doubt anybody is going to trade in front of them for a RT. [Reply]

There are people that think he can play LT so hey maybe they think that. [Reply]
The more I look at it.....I just can't figure them taking a RT. You'd have a 20million dollar LT, one of the highest paid LG's in football, a 2nd round pick C who's the best C in the game, and a RG who is about to get paid a shit ton. They've invested a whole bunch up there already.
Having fairly poor success rates on digs/curls/comebacks really does give creedence to the concerns that he just does not play through contact.
Interesting.
Yeah, it's not been a great couple of months for Johnston. There have been a lot of warts surface in his game. Are they real or imagined? And if they're real, are teams just now seeing them or is it really just Draft Media that is only now figuring this stuff out? [Reply]
Listening to the last yahoo podcast with Charles Robinson....he seems to think OBJ ends up here. Says odell knows it's his best chance and fit going forward, it's just about him coming to a number the Chiefs like. [Reply]
"A prospect people aren't talking enough about right now is WR Jonathan Mingo. He's 6-2, 220 pounds, has interviewed incredibly well, and I know he's a lot higher on teams' boards than the stuff we're all reading online."
