Yeah, Alice Cooper makes great toddler music. :-):-)
This is how you and I differ... this is my son's favorite song at the moment...
I didn't force music I like on kiddo. She wanted to hear stuff I liked and I told her some of it was "kind of mean." She fell in love with it right away and has always love Alice/KISS since. It's in her nature to rock I guess. I imagine she got that gene fro me. Now she listens to me do country and texts me asking about songs she likes. I'm glad she appreciates music no matter the format. That's what I would choose to teach her. [Reply]

I was teasing, (I'm sure you know that though). My son likes Country, too. He also sleeps w/ a classical radio station on at night. He has quite an eclectic taste in music. However, I was listening to Metallica the other day and he got upset and was kicking my seat. :-)
He'll listen to other music that I like though, (i.e. Foo Fighters, Maroon 5, etc.). One day Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" came on and he was singing the chorus. That was pretty damn hilarious!

Go back to post 3174. Was looking for a song from Friday Night Lights I thought that was the song but it wasn't tim mcgraw. I liked it, but then that nelly song was the only tim mcgraw song i knew from mtv days. Ya it sucks, but I didn't expect a response like that from beer me. was funny. [Reply]

I'm going to post my favorite song ever... another that no will will watch but I don't care. It's gonna take a while to write out the lyrics. I don't copy and paste. I don't cheat. :-) [Reply]

I like lyrics that have some depth. That song has no depth. I'm not hard to figure out I just want music to speak to me. [Reply]

I hear ya. I like for the music to speak for it's self on most songs. I think singers can **** up a good song that the music is playing. That's why I can listen to all instrumental music & I love Buckethead for his kick ass guitar play. [Reply]
My favorite song ever from one of my favorite singers ever. Give me another 10 years and I"ll look just like him.
Don Williams- Good Ol Boys Like Me
When I was a kid Uncle Remus would put me to bed
with a picture of Stonewall Jackson above my head
then daddy came in to kiss his little man
with gin on his breath
and a bible in his hand
he talked about honor and things I should know
then he'd stagger a little as he went out the door
I can still hear the soft southern winds in the life oak trees
and those Williams boys they still mean a lot to me
Hank and Tennessee
I guess we're all gonna be what we're gonna be
but whattaya do with good old boys like me
Well nothin makes a sound in the night like the wind does
but you ain't afraid if you're washed in the blood like i was
smell of cape jasmine through the window screen
John R and the Wolfman kept me company
by the light of the radio by my bed
with Thomas Wolf whisperin in my head
I can still hear the soft southern winds in the live oak trees
and those Williams boys they still mean a lot to me
Hank and Tennessee
I guess we're all gonna be what we're gonna be
But whattaya do with good ol boys like me
When I was in school I ran with a kid down the street
and I watched him burn himself up on bourban and speed
but I was smarter than most and I could choose
learned to talk like the man on the six oclock news
when I was 18 lord I hit the road
but it really doesn't matter how far I go
I can still hear the soft southern winds in the live oak trees
and those Williams boys they still mean a lot to me
Hank and Tennessee
I guess we're all gonna be what we're gonna be
so whattaya do with good ol boys like me
Ummm... had a beard for years. I don't even know what I look like under it anymore. I met my ex wife 18 years ago and she's never seen my chin.... nor have I. [Reply]
