Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
For the first time this season...three throws from Patrick Mahomes.

I’ve never seen a QB throw a ball so well while drifting, falling or angling at odd positions.
This kid is the best improvisational QB ever. He extends plays better than anyone.
Better velocity on straight line balls? I don’t know, it’s difficult to throw harder than Machines did. on that TD pass to Hill on Sunday [Reply]
Mahomes rifles in the pass to Hill for the TD here. Hardman runs a crosser in front of Hill that actually brings two defenders with him and closes the window quicker than it should. #JacobsEyeInTheSky#Chiefspic.twitter.com/SX39DpNETp

Maybe it is Mahomes or maybe it is someone else but given recent trends in NFL, someone is throwing for 6000 yards and 60 TDs sooner or later.
Tom Brady in 2002 missed the playoffs as a Patriots starting QB but he led the entire NFL in passing touchdowns with just 28 TD's. Nowadays, a pocket passer that throws for 28 TD's in in danger of losing his job. Brady in fact could double the 28 TD's this year and not even lead the league in touchdown passes.....
The NFL has turned into a different sport than it was in prior generations.
The restricted zones in which to hit QB's and receivers to a lesser extent have just made it much easier to pass the ball. Even rules, fans take for granted of QB's or other players being able to run and then slide to avoid being hit, were not always a part of the game.
The rule changes are have already had a profound impact. In the past, a good percentage of the best athletes played running back. Now the rule changes which influence salaries have the best athletes in many cases playing receiver, QB, defensive back, defensive end and no longer running back. [Reply]

The commentators have said Allen has problems passing scrambling to the left while Mahomes has the natural midfielder delivery and throws on target passes when pressed. [Reply]

Mahomes doesn’t need his feet under him at all to make unbelievable throws. Exhibit A is the Super Bowl with body parallel to ground and a 30+ yard accurate ball to the end zone. Allen tried the exact same thing recently and the ball went 3-5 yards in the dirt. [Reply]

I'm not convinced Allen and Rodgers throw "straight" passes with more zip. I can't ever recall seeing any of their passes ever looking like they had any more velocity than Patrick's. When Mahomes wants to fire it in there he sure the hell does.
Any quantifiable metrics on ball speed from the three? [Reply]

There is the Combine velocity for Allen at 62 mph and Mahomes at 60 mph. [Reply]
