Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

If they'd have connected it would have gone for a 1st. They didn't and it was effectively a punt.
There are probably 20 other plays I'd look at first before dissecting this one.
The other 3 turnovers were more harmful. They all happened when KC was about to score. Cost them at least 9 points and maybe 21. I知 honestly surprised this was not a blowout in favor of the Chargers, given a 4-0 turnover margin. [Reply]
Patrick Mahomes said his 2nd interception was a bit of thinking that Travis Kelce was going keep going downfield instead of turning toward the sideline.

He just needs to get back to the basics here. Step up in the pocket, take the checkdown if need be, make the quick, efficient reads, and don't try any more unnecessary no looks.
You are going back to a single play two years ago to establish precedent? I mean, dude, it痴 not like I知 some ball washer absolving him of all mistakes. But, you are trying create a non-issue where there is not one. If one were to break down the percentage of no look passes he attempts you would see that your accusation of him reading his own press clippings too much is horse pucky.
MAYBE, he chose poorly that play, it still is not an indicator of him believing in his own press. This is who he was before the press got wind of him. And it is why we love him. He is the gunslinger we have been praying and begging for. The occasional bad decision is a WELCOME mistake. I値l welcomingly take the aggressive approach over what we have had the majority of my life.

No look gunsling that shit all day.
If he's done it in the past, he's liable to do it in the future. Rewatching the play, it seems like that was the case.
There were a couple defenders who had committed to Robinson down low, but there was no one within 5 yards of Kemp in either direction. There was absolutely no reason to no look there. [Reply]
Mahomes seems different this year like hes forcing himself to stay in the pocket more..Im not sure if its a coaching thing or him trying to be a better "QB"..
but i think he needs to go back to improvising and being himself [Reply]

Mahomes is still godly, he's working with new OL so it looks basic. Then there's the fact outside of Hill & Kelce he has no help at the skill positions. CEH is JAG, Rashaan Shehee could've done what Clyde did today. [Reply]

WTF...His worse plays today were outside of the pocket when their was clear room to step up. He stepped up today and had success. We moved the ball, we just turned it over and should have won by 17... [Reply]
