Custom playbooks aren't really custom when you can't create your own plays. After they removed create-a-play, a "custom" playbook just was never worth the time as most playbooks had the same fundamental plays anyway.

Still allows you to create a playbook with only the plays you want and none of the rest. You can spend hours on it.

The AI is always going to be vulnerable to something eventually. It's not self-aware. :-)

Last time Madden Featured "Create a play" was back in '03.

They haven't fixed their AI in 20 years? It's just a half-ass'd game these days. It is what it is.

Create A Play still required the usage of standard routes. It's not like we're talking about making players run weird ass, non-football routes.

Formations still had to comply with NFL rules. You essentially just got to decide the sets and the routes ran out of those sets.

"Bad AI" is just a poor excuse.
