Why did Reid take Charles out of the game for ENTIRE offensive drives in the second half?

I get wanting to keep him fresh and rotating West in (who I guess is the back-up RB now over Davis?)

But can't this be done with a few plays, without having to bench Charles for entire drives?

I'm sure Andy's hemorrhoids will be along soon enough to tell us all that "we don't get it", "we don't know what he knows", "there are reasons he has to make those decisions", "it's a short field at that point, that changes everything."
