Nzoner's Game Room>I just got home from the ER
Mr. Wizard 03:26 PM 05-08-2024
Been having dull chest pains right and left daily for a couple weeks. Today at school decided I needed an ekg. School nurse said go to the ER now. Called a local ER option in town they said go to the ER so reluctantly I went to the ER. Lots of poking and tests all of which came out positive and they sent me home. I was there an hour and the bill was 4000.00 my share was 440.00. I will admit the govt finally did something right and they have to show you the exact bill before you go home and they are tied to it.
I guess knowing my heart is ok is worth 440.00 after worrying about it for two weeks is worth it.

Actually I wrote lesson plans on the board and notified the teacher next door and my principal via text.

Because if they didn't, please go get one.

Ask me how I know.
I had virtually the same thing OP has been having. Sharp pains in the heart, been happening for a few weeks now. Went in and got an EKG, x-ray, blood work...everything came back great. Wore a heart monitor for 48 hours, it came back just fine. My wife wants me to do a stress test as well. What did it catch that these other ones might have missed?

Teaching is the only job where you have to call in and leave plans to be dead.

I had the same symptoms for a month then a panic attack. Root cause = Generalized Anxiety thst Ive had my entire life since i was a kid. Vertigo and panics linked to low seratonin levels. Kind of crazy this shit goes undiagnosed for a lifetime

Glad you're okay. Good on ya for going and seeing someone, too many folks procrastinate themselves into poor health.

Good luck, man. And if they ask if you want anesthetic, say yes. It's not worth saving the fifty bucks to go without it.

Back when Covid was going on we were writing lesson plans for other classes for teachers who had it bad. Poor kids. Then school got closed down and we pretended that they were learning online. When they came back to school they had no motivation at all. We never should have done that to them, or us. Should have just let everyone get it and go on with life. I got it twice. A few day later I was fine as were most people. Bad deal.

I was on leave for stress and anxiety the first part of Covid. Not sure if you remember that. Kids are so different today. And not for the better.

If you've eaten at Hereford House, you may be entitled to financial compensation

Smart thing to get it checked...I've related on a separate thread my heart attack from 18 months ago.

My chest pains started started with the same feeling as if I had eaten Italian Sub Sandwich from Firehouse Sub with extra onions...but a little more intense.

Oh, also I am surprised they didn't have you do a Stress Test within a couple of days of your visit.

If your old symptomatic or not get checked out , I never had chest pain or symptoms because of the compensation etc..
