Teams that lost early, are they home sitting on their butts?
In Season tournament games are regular season games. All the teams were included in pool play.
I think it's worked pretty well. While my teams are out (OKC, MIN), it's pretty easy to see that the players have bought in and are brining a higher level of intensity to these games. [Reply]

Your dumbass is equally as bad with the Kobe Bryant dick sucking. [Reply]
The Court designs and jerseys of the NBA have become comical. It's like the Oregon Ducks own every single NBA franchise now. I just turn the channel when teams wear something fugly. One of the many reasons I don't watch much NBA anymore.
As for the topic, why have a tournament at the beginning of the season, to break up the monotony of a long season? I mean, the season just started. [Reply]

To generate better ratings on non-NFL days (Tuesdays and Fridays were when they played the games). [Reply]

Adds excitement. I think it's pretty awesome, this tournament. They don't have a one-game single elimination tournament. The postseason tournament is to crown a champion. This is March Madness style one loss and you go home type of thing. [Reply]
Eh, I appreciate the creativity. It’s actually an interesting idea and I think baseball should do it too. It’s set up in a way that doesn’t really mess with scheduling but makes some regular season games a little interesting. All for ideas like that.
The interesting thing, at least my personal experience with betting on these games, is that teams have different motivations. Teams who have nothing to play for are more likely to rest players while teams in contention that need to win or win big go balls to the wall. So that’s not great. One thing that drives me nuts about the nba of late is how they just casually rest starters at the last minute. [Reply]

All you need to know is that it is dumb as fuck and the NBA has sucked for a few years now. It's an in season tournament for cash. Nobody is going to remember who won what 6 months from now so it really doesn't matter. If you need something early in the season to make the games more interesting and to ensure more of your star players actually play, then your product sucks.
Jordan, Magic, Bird, Shaq, Kobe, etc... didn't need a reason to play hard or just play at all. Jordan would have laughed in your fucking face if you would have suggested he take games off to manage his load. It has turned into a league of entitled pussies led by the biggest pussy of all time, Lebron James. [Reply]
