Saccopoo Memorial Draft Forum>Second to last MOCK

1. Will McDonald, EDGE, Iowa St. - this dude seems to be a very popular pick for the Chiefs lately, and it's because it makes a lot of sense. I know, I know, he's only 240, but with Karlaftis/Omenihu/Danna, I think they've positioned themselves to take a guy that can compliment their skills sets (inside/out versatility). The Chiefs went against their typical thresholds with McDuffie. Why can't they do it with McDonald? With his frame, I think he can get closer to 250 long term too. McDonald is bendy and has double digit sack upside.

2. Marvin Mims, WR, Oklahoma - sub 4.4 speed and a perfect fit for the Chief offense, Mims gives you that speed you lose with Hardman, but the ability to be more than just a gadget guy. I think Mins, Toney, and Skyy would compliment each other very well.

3. Jaquelin Roy, DT, LSU - I feel like Roy might be one of the most underrated players in the draft. He's the perfect pick in round 3 if you miss out on Mazi and Benton in round 2. Young prospect with the upside to be a 3 down NT.

4. Luke Schoonmaker, TE, Michigan - this TE class is ridiculous. I really like Zack Kunt, but I don't think he's going to be available in the 4th, and I really like Schoonmaker. He has good size, tested really well, and probably wouldn't be here in bascially any other draft.

4. Chase Brown, RB, Illinois - like the TE class, I love this RB class, but it's difficult to decide when to pull the trigger on one, and even here feels just a little too early. I really like Brown though, and you can have a really cheap young duo to go with a cheap deal for McKinnon.

I'm picking RBs at every pick for the Chiefs in the rest of the mock because people like you can eat a fucking dick.

Lmao. I'll be watching for that.

Also, I'd like to note that I know nothing about college football players and was just providing some cross thread humor.

A: If you don't know what he is as a player, maybe you should 1) research it before making the assumption a bunch of others did about his position and 2) think about his schematic fit versus what we've, at least at the moment, lost.

B: I for one absolutely hate starting this mock so early. We never truly know the needs of teams from starters to depth because FA hasn't been firmly underway and we also end up finishing more than early enough.

C: Right now, the 4th most productive receiving option on this team was McKinnon. Gibbs can certainly fill that role but I see much more there. You start developing as a true WR much in the same way they did with Tyreek by also flexing him out when Pacheco is on the field. My theory for the pick is not to make Gibbs a permanent fixture at RB. I envision Gibbs as an all-around weapon in space that grows into a pure WR, whether its a slot or Z.

Guys that played RB at some point in their careers (HS or College) tend to make for good, shifty WRs. Gibbs' speed is on par with a guy like Hardman but he's far shiftier. Put him in tons of packages and just get him the ball in space. He can run sweeps, he can flex in and take handoffs behind the line, you can hit him in the flats on screens, he can run routes from the slot, etc. He has the added advantage, on the plays where you keep him in the backfield, of running an awful lot like Jamaal Charles. If you can't find a way to get a guy like that over 1000 yards of offensive production, then you're doing it wrong. And my belief is that 1000 yards of production are a lot more than you're probably getting by spending the pick on most of the pure WRs that will be available at 31. He's thicker, faster, and shiftier than Flowers, Downs, and Addison. He's the same height as Flowers and Downs. So if you're on board with those guys, I really don't see how you can't be on board with a more multi-dimensional player that's a better athlete.

D. I dislike the current overall collection of assholes on this board enough of late to absolutely start making dumbass picks. I really don't care, it's my last offseason posting anything about draft prospects here and participating in this mock here anyhow. So, the temptation is easy if we're going to keep playing the dumbass card.

Lighten up Francis.

I don't know what any of the players are and I don't really give a shit. I'm telling you I just took another person's quote from one thread and putting it in this one.

Maybe you need to take a break if you're getting this wound up over a joke. And especially if you're taking this mock draft so fucking seriously

It's not the mock draft. It's the constantly annoying fucking idiots. I'm tired of the schtick around here. It's like actually grow the fuck up. I just said I'm taking a break after this draft.

And not necessarily you tye, but regurgitating the idiot shit doesn't help. I've found myself an angry, irritable, childish fuck myself lately and that's why I'm taking the break.
