With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away. I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film. Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more… pic.twitter.com/3EdJB03KKT
Donald Sutherland, the Canadian actor who became a countercultural icon with such films as “The Dirty Dozen,” “MASH,” “Klute” and “Don’t Look Now,” has died. He was 88. https://t.co/55BZHxFFMjpic.twitter.com/ZxpXsL6czF
That sucks, I liked him in the movie Virus with Jamie Lee Curtis when Donald went crazy and turned into a robot, it is a pretty bad movie but I enjoyed it [Reply]
Got to briefly work with him a few years ago on “The Undoing”. Dude was a total pro even at his advanced age. And I’ll never forget how tall he was and how much “presence” he had. The cameras would roll, he’d stand up straight, and damn…. Must’ve been at least 6’3”.
Wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. His range was incredible and seemingly effortless playing between wide genres. A colossal talent whose loss will definitely be felt. RIP. [Reply]
