Consistently the Best TV show ever. GUNSMOKE. Just finished 10 part series 'PACIFIC'. Bloody but from what little my Dad would say about his time fighting in the Philippines/Luzon, very realistic. Shows on the ID channel but damn, it can make one paranoid. [Reply]
Happy to see some Gunsmoke fans around here. Classic show. If you are a fan but haven't listened to the original radio show I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

I want to. I’ve been told that before. I just have trouble watching pre-quells when I know what happens. I know it’s telling their story, but when I already know where they end up etc, the journey itself doesn’t do it for me.
It was like that for me with the hobbit and lord of the rings. All I kept thinking was well I know Bilbo leaves with the elves and Frodo destroys the ring so why am I watching This? [Reply]

I don't think it would really be like that, because the only main characters who end up in Breaking Bad are
Spoiler!
Saul and Mike.
It's really mostly just the background story for Saul, which doesn't have a huge effect on the plot line of Breaking Bad. It's a great stand-alone show, with or without Breaking Bad. [Reply]
I am in the middle of The Sopranos for the 4th time. Before that I watched Deadwood through again. I have this unique ability where I can watch a show or a movie, wait a few years, then watch it again and it's basically brand new for me. I remember scenes here and there and obviously major plot twists but for the most part I don't retain cinema in my memory well at all. People will quote movie lines around me and I rarely ever know wtf they're talking about even if I've seen it multiple times. [Reply]
