Another done deal in Detroit: Lions are signing QB Jared Goff to a four-year, $212 million contract extension that includes $170 million guaranteed, sources tell ESPN.

I don’t know how there are even fans of other teams. I couldn’t conceivably imagine being excited about this. Goff’s a good dude and a good QB, but come on.
I do applaud the Lions for finally deciding to try and be an actual NFL franchise, though. [Reply]
The ugly truth is that there's about 5/6 legit franchise QB's in the league at a time. If you don't have one, you're pretty much behind the 8 ball and just hoping. [Reply]

I'd say 2-3 legit franchise QBs tops, then 2-3 pretenders who are mostly media creations. [Reply]
I was reading something earlier and if I remember it correctly, the casual fan will spend upwards of $900 a year across the various subscription and streaming services to watch all of the games this season. That is nuts and it’s criminal to put playoff games on a subscription service. [Reply]

One of the added benefits of being a Broncos fan. You don't need to pay to watch your team in the playoffs. [Reply]
