Nzoner's Game Room>Andy Reid is a terrible head football coach
rabblerouser 09:43 AM 09-18-2015
Andy Reid got depantsed in the Super Bowl by Bruce Arians.

Bruce Fucking Arians and Tom Fucking Brady.

Well, you see, Andy Reid is an offensive genius, and how dare we question Andy Reid's genius in not running the ball and not utilizing the screen pass in the face of an epically brutal pass rush, a patchwork offensive line and a QB with a hurt toe?

How dare we question his geniusness?

Oh, and Spags? The "great Brady Killer"? They had his defense figured out by the 2nd quarter and he couldn't adjust it. He was Bob Sutton Jr.

As always, I wonder what the conversation around 1 Arrowhead Way was like today. There's a piece of me that hopes there was some raised voices and some very honest talk about not giving a shit about the coach speak crap that he subjects the fans to, but I know none of that happened. Andy fed the front office crew Krispy Kreme junk and sat in his office fantasizing about not being an idiot while filling his gut with bad-for-you food.

Andy is a fucking moron! The sooner PM figures it out, the sooner he can take actions accordingly.

This is the gist of it all, and 100 percent correct.

I try. Sometimes it sucks to speak the truth about your own team and its leadership, but it has to be done if we ever hope to change 50 years of not playing in a SB.

My message is to Clark Hunt. It's time to get angry, controlled but angry, and let fan base know that changes will happen and there will be no tolerance for failure at any level.

Keep flaming... your takes are horrible. Fire Reid for Kyle Shanahan... Nice.
I never said the offensive game plan was horrible - you have terrible comprehension.

I said the CALL on 3rd and 2 was horrible. I said the decision to do a screen to a backup TE was terrible, the sequence of decisions leading to the botched FG was abysmal. I said that Reid shit his pants and makes shitty decisions.

I never once said the game plan was horrible. Quit putting words in my mouth.

Explain yesterday's "just a spot of bad luck" scenario to us please? Not all the others (right now), just yesterday's please.

Reid has averaged just one playoff win in three years in KC, that is not a good record for someone being touted as some elite HC.
In seven seasons despite different DCs, schemes and players there have been too many games where the defense has let other teams win games they had no business of winning. The only constant has been Reid, he just can’t create an environment of playing hard and disciplined for 60 minutes.

You also said Mahomes should call the play on 3 and 2 or audible out of Andy's call, and blame the call on Andy. Again, do you think Reid asked Patrick his thoughts on a play, or said what do you think of this play, or do you think Mahomes had no input during the timeout?

I wish they would have executed, but they didn't, that was a part of the loss, as was the FG debacles, Linebackers over pursuing cutback lanes and playing cover 2 man under at the end.

Yesterday wasn't bad luck, it was play execution.

Not converting on 3rd and 2 was execution, and play calling. I'm sure Mahomes, during the timeout, suggested or at least had input on the play when it was called. This was execution, not bad luck.

Winchester and Colquitt could play together for another 5 years and not make that communication mistake, but it was ultimately execution, not luck.

The titans end got the perfect, not great, but the perfect jump on the blocked field goal. Great execution by him, not luck, but that rarely happens whether you think you know the cadence or not.

Backside linebackers not filling cutback lanes was execution, not luck.

Spags playing what appears to be cover 2 man under at the end was not smart.

Fumbling the ball on a sustained drive in the opponents territory that was returned for a TD that was at minimum, a 10 point swing, was also execution.

What wasn't the problem... The offensive mix of run vs. pass wasn't to blame. We had 530 yards of offense and punted once.

You guys want to fire Reid and that is retarded, specifically to replace him with Kyle Shanahan as RR suggested...

That was my point...

Replace him with IowaCockeyeChief's ratfaced granny for all I ****ing care. Bring back Todd Haley. Bring in Brian ****ing Schottenheimer.

I don't ****ing care, because damn near anyone not named Romeo Crennel or Herm Edwards can manage a game better than Andy "There's a Defense?" Reid. Mahomes is Mahomes. He will ball out, regardless of the HC. Promote Kafka to OC, profit.

Well if you believe all you wrote, Reid sure doesn't do a very good job at motivating his players to execute and "do their job". I'm not saying I agree with you, I don't, but Reid sure doesn't work very well with Veach to find players who can execute plays.

And last, if execution is really the problem, and it's only part of the problem, I guess we could all be great HCs and draw up plays that 'should' work "if only they were executed." Clearly Andy either has a problem calling plays his kids can't execute, or he's not preparing them properly to execute his offense, perhaps both.

Either way, it's Andy's fault because he says it's his fault. If nothing else he's at fault for not doing the things a HC is supposed to do to prepare his team to execute his offense. In Andy's case he seems to spend too much time being friends with his players instead of the demanding HC he needs to be more of.

But Andy learned from this. Too bad it's the same lesson he gets every year, that he refuses to fix.

And now Arrowhead Addict is on board tweeting and writing that Reid should be on the hot seat after yesterday's performance.
When the Homer Collective can see and identify Reid's issues, you just might actually have some problems with your head coach.

Maybe our head coach should trying being a little less buddy-buddy with the players and a lot more drill sergeant with them. At least until the end of the year.

But being the fucking coward he is, I'm sure he's just reading the back of the box (his 3rd box of the day) of Frosted Flakes and not giving a shit about what fans think.
