They were supposed to switch off coverage to get angles to prevent the pick play...Scandrick wound up picking Fuller himself for LA. Don't know why Reid didn't call the last timeout there. Don't know why he DID call timeout for LA's TD tho, neither, so... [Reply]

OK Thank You. So it’s more than just Bob. Players are dumb like me and can’t run his scheme. [Reply]

Would it be simpler to just have assignments rather than the players getting confused? [Reply]
This is a poorly coached defensive unit, period. 5 seasons of blowing leads in critical games. Sutton owns some of the most historical blown leads in the game. From blowing huge leads multiple times in the playoffs to losing even when your offense scores 50 points.
You can put a lot of it on the players sure. But even when Sutton was the DC of the upper crust defenses in scoring and such, those defenses still managed to blow huge leads in critical games.
People like to blame Smith for the playoff leads being blown. Some are blaming the offense for the game against the Chargers. Some blame Mahomes for the loss against the Rams.
But the common theme through all those games be it Smith or Mahomes, the defense was handed leads and 4th quarter leads at that and couldn't seal the deal.
We got pinned deep against the Chargers late and Andy was not about to take a chance on turning the ball over in our own territory that late. A defense has to be able to hold a 14 point lead for 5 minutes on their home field.
Sutton defenses have shown over 5 seasons that they can't lock a game down, especially a critical game. [Reply]

When I see two NFL caliber corners let a guy run wide open for a win I’d like to know what happened and why. Honestly, is this more on Sutton or the 2 players? [Reply]
