I got why Mizzou dodged us and still get it. But man, what could have been.
Well, whatever the 100% truth is we’ll never know. But one thing we do know.
After Mizzou’s season finale with Arky, in which they beat them, people from the Liberty Bowl committee were waiting in Arky’s locker room after the game.
They apparently had already made up their mind, regardless of the outcome.

I would respond, but it’s not worth it. You were the worst at trolling in the Mizzou FB thread after that game. You spent almost 2 hours in there after the rest of your chickenhawk brethren left. Talk about pathetic.
Your team finished the season 1-7. Frauds. Nothing more needs to be said. [Reply]

One wouldn't think a coach would think so little of his own team as to dodge such a program, now would you?
And yet here we are. With Mizzou having ended their season meekly to Wake Forest after making calls to every eligible bowl to avoid KU. Sad, sad stuff. [Reply]

Like I said, it is what it is.
Oh well.
Now we know why Missouri didn’t want to play Kansas in a bowl
Crazy to think how different this game could’ve/should’ve gone. Those self inflicted wounds early proved to be fatal. Something to learn from. The team will be back and better.

Awesome game! Future’s looking good!
Missouri’s future in football is depressing and they will always be KU’s bitches in basketball.
Yeah, you’re 1-7 finish to the season looks REALLY promising for your football program’s future. Good thing you guys gave your coach that long term extension before that god awful finish. Smart move. Can see why you all are excited!
Mizzou doesn’t play in the same conference as KU anymore so not sure why that even matters. Get over it. Move on. It’s in the past. [Reply]
