When you're so bad at run defense you make it a legitimately good choice to run the ball at you consistently, that's pretty impressive(ly bad). https://t.co/hFnQIuLKqe

I don't think he is the main problem with the D. It's a lack of talent.
Spags is Andy's guy because Spags understands that he gets paid very well to keep his mouth shut about things and let Andy focus all of his attention to the O.. [Reply]

Yep. A decent pass rush would fix a lot So would LB's who could actually play. There is a serious lack of talent on every level of this defense. [Reply]

We will get Clarks money next year to try again to find a DE. Gay has the speed we are missing to get out to the edge and make those tackles. Cover the TE in those 10-15 year pass plays in the flat that are killing us.......... if he can stay healthy.
But its also the scheme. The live TV feed captured Hitchens by the line of scrimmage, turn his back to the play and start running back into some coverage he's supposed to be in. Quick 5 yard pass to the RB in his vacated spot and its a 20 yard gain. [Reply]

Just dump every single big salary on that side of the ball.
Get a couple of decent players for each one, and stop trying to plug scrubs in around the supposed 'stars'.
I agree with this. His value has probably decreased with the move to DE but I'd move him, let Badger walk (comp pick), cut Hitchens, Clark, NEIMAN. If the player is not on their rookie contract then they are gone IMO.
Additionally, Spags should be let go. His decisions with Sorenson over Thornhill is one of the worst player decisions I've ever seen as a Chiefs fan. Only out done by Grbac over Gannon. There is no reason for a veteran defensive unit to be so out of position and bad in their 3rd year in the system. [Reply]

Yep, a huge contract for a 30 year old goes against all prevailing wisdom
Its time to go young and hungry on defense... Clark, Jones, HB, Hitchens, Reed, Sorensen, and a number of others can all go on the chopping block [Reply]
