Cant recall ever seeing a thread on this topic so i thought it was time we had one... this thread is dedicated to military weaponry of any kind, from any era or nation.
There is a seemingly endless array of novel, fascinating, revolutionary or even ill-fated hardware out there so subject material shouldnt be a problem.
Dude, for one... nix out HuffPo and Slate, no offense to you personally but I absolutely refuse to take those sites seriously, those people are bought and paid for Soros stooges
You do not want to see it, but they are BOUGHT and PAID FOR... huffpo and slate have never even TRIED to report the news, but they have damn sure been paid crazy dollars and have tried their best to create/guide the news as ordered
The only Nazi establishment getting ready to entrench itself, is your New Soros World Order... you think he gives a **** about you?
He didnt even give a **** about his OWN people back in WWII Hungary, in fact selling them out to the Nazis "were the happiest days of his life!"

Don't side mouth backhanded comments, bro. I asked an open question. How "weak" or how did Obama stifle our growth in our military sector and make us more vulnerable? Generally curious, I don't have a background in military..only one I can recall in my family was my uncle and he was killed. [Reply]
I know this isn't exactly rare, but it's still cool:
Panzerjäger Tiger Sd. Kfz. 184. AKA Elefant
The Germans wanted an anti-tank weapon with punch, so they threw an 88 onto the leftover failed Tiger I Porche hulls to get this beast.
It had a few glaring faults. Way too heavy for it's engine an final drive, and it also lack a small caliber, infantry defense machine gun. How in the hell could they leave that off?

Actually the two biggest factors by far for American security are called The Atlantic and The Pacific. Oceans make supreme walls. [Reply]

How depleted have tank forces become in the 21st Century now that air power is the goal of all, particularly considering the next gen of laser guided munitions and the such? [Reply]

The Army has been ringing the alarm bells about our tanks for a while now, we need a follow up to the Abrams badly
Compared to Russias new Armata, our stuff is found wanting... not only do they have a bigger main gun, but its in an unmanned/autoloading turret, their crew compartment is very well armored and is isolated from the rest of the tank in case of a hit that cooks off their munitions, and perhaps most importantly they have whats called "active protection systems"... basically an anti-missile missile system that tracks incoming rounds and fires a missile of its own to destroy it
And here is a perfect example of why we need AP on our tanks, todays high tech anti-tank weapons are just too good for our current armor, watch this Saudi Abrams go up in flames immediately in Yemen...

I would think we need to be prepared for any kind of war, including more traditional ground battles with peer adversaries... nothing dominates the ground like armor and artillery
Do you know what it takes to project force over an ocean? Any bombers coming over the Atlantic or Pacific would be noticed long before they hit either shore.
That is not even counting an actual invasion and given how big the US is... [Reply]
