Twins and Yankees are playing maybe the wildest game of the year right now. Both bullpens have been absolutely terrible, the lead keeps bouncing back and forth in dramatic fashion every inning, and now it's 12-12 going into the 10th inning. Too bad we don't have more decent bullpen pieces to trade away. [Reply]
In good news, O'Hearn and Phillips are continuing to destroy AAA. O'Hearn went 2-4 with another HR tonight and Phillips went 0-2 but he had 3 walks and a steal.
O'Hearn now has 8 HR and a 1.250 OPS in July. Phillips is hitting .319 in July with a 1.149 OPS. I'm guessing we're going to see both of these guys in about another week, although that might create a logjam for playing time. [Reply]

Ditch Hamilton and Duda, play O'Hearn and Phillips (in RF) every day. Find out what you've got for fuck's sake. [Reply]
Hamilton will be gone within a week. Duda I'm not so sure about. I can't imagine he has much trade value.
Either way, Duda and Hamilton both are bench guys. Bringing these guys up from AAA means there's going to be some decisions to be made about playing time. O'Hearn will probably have to share some time with Cuthbert and Phillips isn't going to fit at all if they're convinced to keep Lopez at 2B. Bubba might be the odd man out, and I can't imagine they'll do that to him. I'd rather see Phillips getting every day at bats rather than riding the bench 5 days a week in KC. [Reply]

They still haven't announced how severe Mondesi's injury is. The Royals could shut him down for the year and play Lopez at SS and Whit at 2nd. That give Phillips RF. It would also help determine if they need to resign Gordon. If Phillips plays well, next year, Whit in LF, Bubba in CF, and Phillips in RF. Dozier at 1st, Mondesi as SS, Lopez at 2nd, and O'Hearn at 1st. [Reply]

Eh? You think Ned\Dayton are going to do that if Mondesi is out? Nay, Humberto will be here for the longhaul playing every day. [Reply]
The Brewers just lost their second starter in a week during their game today. Their rotation is seriously hurting.
I have not heard Duffy's name thrown around at all, but if you wanted to dangle him based on his recent solid play, I wonder if you'd get a bite. [Reply]
