Olympic speed is world class speed. Would he be out there competing with Usain Bolts records? No. But given that his football speed was competing with the main pack, there's no reason to believe that if he lost some of the bulk and focused purely on straight line speed for a little over a year he couldn't be competing for a podium.

His best 100M speed at a much lighter weight is a wind assisted 9.98. That time gets him crushed in heat 3 of the semis and barely sneaks him into the finals in the other 2 semis and then, his best time ever, ties him for dead last if he happens to sneak into the finals.

And let's be clear here. He absolutely did not qualify for the 2012 Olympics. His time might have qualified for him to compete at the Olympic Trials, in which he did not compete.
