Things have gotten exponentially harder and even if you still consider us the favorite, ‘the field’ has become a MUCH better bet than it was a week ago.
This true but we can only control us. I hate the Patriots too but this is our reality.
Ultimately the only team I truly feel is possibly better than us is Buffalo. [Reply]

Yes, of course. Because the bar couldn't be any lower. Of course we'll feel better once we have some of sense of what pieces we've plugged in to fill the many holes we still have. There will be draft prospects CP is all aflutter over and I have no doubt Veach will make one more decent outlay we'll all be excited about and some cost conscious signings that we'll all deem wise.
But none of that changes the fact that the gap wasn't as wide as many here like to think (we were VERY close to going 3-3 in the division) and it's clearly narrowed meaningfully almost irrespective of what we do from here. That's the unfortunate part about all of this.
I'm so much more unhappy because of what our competitors have done than what Veach hasn't done.
But patient? I'm not running around and saying we're doomed. But I also couldn't have scripted the offseason to be in worse shape at this point. [Reply]
The Raiders and Broncos losing their top picks in one of the best draft classes I can remember is a damn good opportunity for us to move ahead for now and the long term.
The draft is where you win. It’s always been that way despite the Rams SB win.
Get as many young solid players on defense and load up on the draft. [Reply]
