So there's an article on NFL network saying that Orlando Brown is expected to sign for 6 years $145 mil.
That comes to $24.16 mil/yr and makes him the highest paid offensive lineman in football. It also would give him the 19th highest salary per year in the NFL
How would you feel if that is the contract he ended up signing?
I'm fine with it. He is a top 5 LT and he's only 26 next season. A young great LT is a guy you can't let leave. [Reply]

If this is the case he needs to just sit out a few games and let it heal. It doesn't do himself or the team any favors to stay in there and play like shit.
We can easily move Thuney for a game or two or we have a very capable replacement in Geron Christian. Either of them would be much better than a hobbled Brown, that much we can say for sure after watching these last few games. [Reply]
if you want devil's advocate...if he's bad enough at LT that he knows no one will pay him, maybe the chiefs get him on the cheap and slot him at RT, and draft or trade for a LT next year, and boom, line gets way better [Reply]

Maybe but these guys want to play just like Herbert is trying to. Trey Smith is out there with a bum ankle as well. [Reply]

The only thing I will say in his defense for his putrid performance is it looked like he had trouble getting footing on that field. Other guys were slipping too. But whatever, even in his better games, he's really not that good.
I guess he must be obvious on how he gets beat. Teams already adjusting. We got beat a lot with just 3 and 4 rushers. [Reply]
Brown wasn’t as bad as his critics insist in the first two weeks.
He WAS that bad Sunday. If he’s injured a knee that would explain some of it. You just have to hope he gets healthier as the season goes on and plays more like expected.
He bet on himself. So far I don’t think the bet is paying off. [Reply]
